HAPPY MONDAY.

Is anyone familiar with Eurovision? It's a Europe-wide song and dance contest that used to be held every New Years, but I am not sure if they host it anymore. In this contest, countries compete for points and strive for the title of Europe's Best Song and Dance number. I think that if the number is super duper good, they may even be offered a record deal. It was really enjoyable to watch rival countries like Hungry and Poland go at it with their folksy polkas and festive quartet songs.

Eurovision gave stars like Julio Iglesias and ABBA their big break. And here is one of my favorite Eurovision numbers, Waterloo.

I don't know why the U.S. never had anything like this, maybe a competition between states to see which is the state with the best Song and Dance talents. Maybe they should put that spin on American Idol, since people are already abnormally hyper-obsessed with the show.

Anyway, since I will be temporarily unemployed AGAIN in a couple of weeks, I thought I'd show one of my favorite acts from Eurovision 1970-something, and enhance my spirits.

Watching this really makes my day at work much more pleasant.

I mean, who doesn't like Blonde Vikings paying homage to a tiny military general?

Is it wrong of me to think you were talking about Amon Amarth? Maybe the metalhead in me has finally taken over every single thought in my brain.
